About

Dr. Myslik has been teaching a variety of communication courses since 2009. Her academic passions include political communication, public relations, and comparative analysis of international media systems in relation to different political realities. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Myslik has worked as a communication consultant for many small political campaigns across the country, in an effort to help elect more women and minority candidates to local public offices. Her research focuses on political public relations, social media in political communication, and applications of agenda-setting and agenda-building theories in those settings.

Teaching

Dr. Myslik’s teaching experience includes teaching over 20 different communication courses in a variety of settings. At UC Davis she has thought 8 classes so far, including Analysis of Media Messages, Communication Campaigns, Social Media and PR, Political Communication, Theories of Persuasion, Media and Health, Public Speaking, and Interpersonal Communication.
