About

Lindsay is a fourth year PhD candidate in the Department of Communication at the University of California, Davis. Prior to starting her doctoral program, she earned both her BA and MA in Communication at the University of Arizona (bear down!).

Research Focus

Lindsay's research focuses on the portrayal and effects of gender in the media. More specifically, she is interested in how the media not only portray gender, but how that affects one's own gender identity. Currently, her research focuses on different types of masculinity, and male gender roles within the media.
