Temporary Teaching Position in Communication for the 2023-2024 Academic Year

The Department of Communication at the University of California Davis invites applications for a temporary teaching position in Communication beginning Fall Quarter 2023. Availability of this position depends upon final administrative approval; the successful applicant will teach two courses per quarter for three quarters. The Department seeks applicants with demonstrated teaching experience and effectiveness. An M.A. in communication is required, but a Ph.D. is strongly desired. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Unit. A reasonable estimate for this position is $66,259 - $79,117.

We seek a lecturer with teaching or research experience to be able to teach Gender and Communication as well as Social Media.

Applicants must have previous teaching experience and demonstrated effectiveness in teaching courses that comport with the department’s quantitative, social-scientific focus. Compensation is commensurate with education, ability and experience and is governed by the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
